ADS Presented with U.S. Department of Defense Award
Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc. (ADS) known for its storm water and sanitary sewer management pipe and products, received the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) 'Above and Beyond' award at its Ludlow, Mass. manufacturing plant. The award was presented on August 20, 2013 to ADS Chairman and CEO Joe Chlapaty. The 'Above and Beyond' award is presented by ESGR State Committees to recognize employers at the local level who have exceeded the legal requirements of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) by providing their Guard and Reserve employees additional, non-mandated benefits.  The award is given in limited numbers by state committees to employers who have had at least one of their supervisors/managers recognized with a Patriot Award, and who have signed or agree to sign a statement of support (SoS).

Local High School Students Cast their Shadows on ADS
Students from West High School spent the day working side-by-side with employees of Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc. (ADS) on November 8, 2012 to learn about various positions at the company. ADS designs and manufactures pipe and other products used in municipal storm and sanitary sewers, highway and agricultural drainage projects. The event was part of the Governor's Road to Readiness Initiative, created by Ohio Governor John Kasich, the Columbus Partnership and the Columbus City Schools to enable students to work alongside veteran employees and experience what they do during the day and to discuss how to start on a similar career path.

Wendy D. Graham of the University of Florida, Gainesville was named the recipient of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) 2012 ADS Soil and Water Engineering Award. Do-It-Yourself Basin Configurator Design Program Now Available on ADS Website
Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc. (ADS), the world's largest producer of corrugated high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe, has a new program on its website that automatically designs a Nyloplast® drain structure. Entering just minimal information enables the proprietary software to customize a basin for any project. Input sections include type of pipe, basin diameter, and details for each branch including diameter, angle plus invert height. The program then provides a drawing and list of components that can be immediately ordered or saved in the user's private account.

ADS Announces 54th Manufacturing Plant
Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc. (ADS) announced today that it will open a new manufacturing plant in Clifford, Michigan to meet the growing demand for the company's corrugated high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe. The plant is expected to be in operation during the second calendar quarter of 2012. This will be ADS' second pipe production facility in Michigan, complementing the existing plant located in Owosso.

CE News Feb 2013 Performance Under Heavy Loads
Spanning 380 acres, the Norfolk Southern Memphis Regional Intermodal Facility rail-to-truck terminal that opened on July 1, 2012, in Rossville, Tenn., is projected to handle more than 327,000 truck trailers and containers a year, with four trains arriving and departing daily, offloading cargo. The facility is part of the multi-state $2.5 billion Crescent Corridor initiative to establish an efficient, high-capacity, 2,500-mile intermodal freight rail route between New Jersey and Louisiana on Norfolk Southern's rail network.

Advanced Drainage Systems Announces Expansion of Joint Venture Production Facilities in Brazil
Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc. (ADS) today announced the start up of a second manufacturing facility in Brazil for its joint venture with Tigre S.A. Located in Maceio, Alagoas, which is in the northeastern part of Brazil, the facility will double Tigre-ADS’ annual capacity of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipe. The new facility will be the fourth operating plant in South America for the joint venture.
