Davis Wins State Environmental Science and Natural Resources Management Proficiency Award Sponsored by Advanced Drainage Systems

The Ohio FFA Association named the winners of the 2011 Proficiency Awards during the 83rd Annual State FFA Convention. The event was held in the Celeste Center at the Ohio State Fairgrounds in Columbus May 5 6, 2011.

Allyson Davis, from the Amanda-Clearcreek FFA Chapter, was named the 2011 Environmental Science and Natural Resources Management Proficiency Award Winner. Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc. sponsored the Environmental Science and Natural Resources Management Proficiency Award through a partnership with the Ohio FFA Foundation Inc.

Allyson Davis, daughter of Ryan and Stephanie Davis, is a sophomore in the Amanda-Clearcreek FFA Chapter where her advisors are Jeff Tilley and Scott Sharp. The waterway near Allyson's house was in serious decline causing major flooding in her family's fields, yard and basement. Using over 10,000 feet of new drainage tile Allyson was able to rebuild the waterway, allowing the land to drain properly. Allyson plans to attend Muskingum University where she will be majoring in pharmacy.
